i dont know how to tune my guitar and i want an electric guitar tuner , what is the cheapest price you nkow of . Also , can you get them at The Hippie Hut ? My bro broke my skinny string , i think its the E string? idk but where can i get cheap strings , i got a 6 string acoustic guitar .
Your question firstly said "acoustic" but you want an "electric" tuner. There is no difference at all.
I have three Gibson guitars …. 1 acoustic electric, 1 slim-line acoustic electric, and 1 hard electric. My tuner works for all of them.
Guitar strings are really cheap. I pay NZ$15-00 for mine … probably US$10-00.
Tuners can range in prices. I have two that clamp to the top of the neck, not the plug in ones.
Go to a music shop and check them out … talk to the sales assistant. You would get a better answer because I’m in New Zealand and can’t work out the exchange rate of what they would cost.
You are right … .the "skinny string" is an "E"

A good quality guitar tuner can be used to tune either an electric or acoustic guitar. The notes are still the same.

If I understand what you want to do, consider using a bar crimp to temporarily adjust the open strings without completely retuning. You can also check with a good music shop or a good music teacher.

Well, I wanted to make sure my acoustic guitar was tuned right, so I have a electric tuner that came with my guitar.
I do not know how to use it though.
There is a power button that I press and then it turns on and when I strum a string a letter comes up like E. or G.
And then these little lights blink up at the top.
So if anybody knows how to use it that would be awesome!

alright here are the notes of each string in standard tuning starting from the highest string(thickest) to lowest(thinnest):
E (thickest one)
A
D
G
B
E (bottom, thinnest string)
find the note of the string (eg E,A,D,G,B,E) by plucking the string and turning the tuning pegs until the right note comes up. then try (by turning the tuning pegs again) to make the line/arrow in the tuner point right at 12 o’clock corresponding to its note. the closer the arrow on pointing straight up, the closer the pitch of the string to the note that comes up.
u can also check if u have done it right by plucking the 5th fret of E(thickest) and the open A string. they should sound the same. do this to all of the strings (E&A, A&D, D&G, B&E) except for G and B. instead of plucking the 5th fret, pluck the 4th fret of G and then just the open E (thinnest). good luck and keep on rockin’

If you don’t know what the notes are supposed to sound like, tuning by ear isn’t going to work. Intellitouch tuners are easy to use and weigh less than 2 ounces.
