Guitar Tuners

I’m looking for a Electric guitar with locking tuners and a Floyd rose tremolo?

Would want it to be lower than $300

If oyu expect a real Floyd Rose on a guitar under $300. I would doubt that unless it is second hand. The Floyd rose cost approximately $200 alone. You have to watch Ibanez because the low priced models like the RG5 come with an "Edge III tremolo bridge" and let me tell you. Its not too reliable as far as tuning is concerned.

The ESP also doesn’t have a real Floyd Rose although it does have locking mechanism. In your price range, get the Jackson JS32 series. Its in your price range and has a better neck than Ibanez and ESP in that price range. It has 24 frets, very fast neck, humbucking pickups etc..

What’s a good electric guitar tuner for a begginer?

I have a Fender Strat. and my guitar has probably been out of tune for a few weeks now. I just need some advice on what kind of tuner I should get. My budget is around 20-25 and under, prefrebly nothing higher then that.

What kind of tuner should I get?

Look for an Auto-Chromatic Tuner. They are able to tune most any instrument and will allow you to experiment with alternate tunings.

I recommend they Korg-CA30.

It is in your price range and is really easy to use.

I tuned my guitar using an electric tuner, but it still does not sound right when I strum.?

I tried tuning my acoustic guitar using an eletric guitar tuner. It says each note is right on, but when I strum them all open I get a very harsh sound. Can any one tell me what is wrong?

If you are tuning to standard and then strumming all open, it will sound like crap. You are not forming any chords. Play a chord and see what it sounds like.

How do I tune my guitar to Drop C using an electric guitar tuner?

I’ve looked all over the internet and have found nothing. There’s lots of songs i want to play, but just don’t sound right because i don’t know how to tune my guitar to drop C.

To tune a guitar to drop C, or any other tuning is very simple when you use a tuner. Of course, it depends on the tuner that you have. Some tuners are more advanced than others, and have more options, others are simpler.

However, here is what you want to achieve with drop C:
C G C F A D.

So let’s say you pluck your 6th (Low E in Standard tuning) and it shows E on your tuner. Just flatten the string by turning the tuning pegs until you see the letter C on your tuner. Then pluck the 5th string (if the guitar is in standard tuning, it should say "A" on your tuner). then you unwind the string once again until it says "G".

Do the same for all strings. I recommend tuning it in standard first, then unwinding the strings until you get the desired note for each string.

Hope this helps.
